Understanding the 'bottom end'
The 'bottom end' of the South African market has up till now been relatively unknown territory for most retailers and marketers. There seems to be a dire lack of knowledge of this sector, which by sheer weight of numbers, consumes a great deal. Few companies can therefore afford not to understand and come to terms with their consumption behaviour.
Eighty20 has developed a fascinating overview of the low-income market in South Africa, which analyses the most recently published survey data to size the market; in terms of both headcount and annual spend, and explores the buying behaviour of the low-income market. The research also presents fascinating case studies of South African pioneers who have created innovative solutions for the Bottom of the Pyramid in various industries including banking, insurance, telecommunications, FMCG and retailing.
It's bound to be good. Click here to find out more.
